FOR TODAY… October 13

Outside My Window… my lovely veggie garden is blooming away.

I am thinking… that I’m feeling hungry again, even though I just ate cereal for breakfast.

I am thankful for… the fact that I started a load of laundry, have the dishwasher going, and am making homemade wheat bread.

From the kitchen… the bread machine is humming.  I’m making bread dough, then I’ll transfer it to the oven.

I am wearing… a homemade dress.  It’s maroon with jersey-knit fabric, and very comfy.

I am creating… eight long-sleeved, very colorful, silky blouses to wear at work this winter.

I am going… to watch several movies today as I sew.

I am reading… “Breaking Dawn” on audio CD by Stephenie Meyer.  I’ve already read the entire series in hardback.  Now, I’m going through it again on audio.  I’m also reading The Marriage Officer.

I am hoping… that my veggies will continue to prosper, giving me actual vegetables!  I also hope to eat healthy foods and exercise today.

I am hearing… the dishwasher draining water and the bread machine humming away.

Around the house… Yes, I know that I need to clean.  A good sweep and mopping would do this house some good.

One of my favorite things… sitting in my front yard, reading The Marriage Officer (or whatever book I’m working on), and yelling at the squirrels whenever they start digging in my garden.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Parent conferences are tomorrow, yoga is after school Tuesday, handbells are Wednesday, and track-and-field is Friday.

Here is picture thought I am sharing… I put together a bouquet of flowers in memory of my mother, who passed away, quite suddenly, of cancer last year.

FOR TODAY… September8

Outside My Window… I see joggers going both directions in pairs and singles down my street.

I am thinking… that I need to get outside and enjoy the beautiful morning.

I am thankful for… this chance to sit back and relax today.

From the kitchen… I plan to make a cumin-rubbed pork roast.

I am wearing… a homemade dress with a white sweater.

I am creating… a knitted baby blanket for a friend.

I am going… to work tomorrow (sigh…).

I am reading… “Twilight” on audio CD by Stephenie Meyer.  I’ve already read the entire series in hardback.  Now, I’m going through it again on audio.

I am hoping… that I won’t get too bored today.

I am hearing… birds singing and the pounding of joggers’ feet on the pavement.

Around the house… a pile of dishes wait to be put away, while a new pile grows as it waits to be washed.

One of my favorite things… listening to “Twilight” on my I-Pod.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I have handbells on Wednesday night.

Here is picture thought I am sharing… of some flowers in my front yard.

FOR TODAY… September 1

Outside My Window… I see that the sky has changed from a cloudy, dull gray to a miraculously-clear and sunny baby blue.

I am thinking… that I need to eat some lunch.  I wonder if I will go the frozen pizza route or make a simple sandwich.

I am thankful for… my wonderful, kind, sweet, loving, generous, fabulous husband!!!

From the kitchen… I hear the sounds of dirty dishes calling me to put them in the dishwasher!

I am wearing… yoga gear, because there are free yoga classes in town today.

I am creating… ideas for incredibly-fun and creative hands-on lesson plans for social studies.

I am going… to a triathlon later in September or in October, if I can find one that doesn’t have too many hills!

I am reading… “The Host” by Stephenie Meyer.

I am hoping… that directing handbells for the first time will be spectacularly fun and successful.  I hope for us work towards being able to perform on a monthly basis.

I am hearing… our lovely AC working to keep us cool.

Around the house… my triathlon bike waits to have it’s tires pumped up.

One of my favorite things… is eating deli turkey, sliced cheese, and strawberries, while watching a lovely movie, such as “Pride and Prejudice” (any version).

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Alas, I must return to work tomorrow.  In fact, I need to go today and prepare.  This week, I have handbells, Back to School Night, and volunteering.

Here is picture thought I am sharing…

Here is my handbell music! It's so exciting!!!
