FOR TODAY… October 13
Outside My Window… my lovely veggie garden is blooming away.
I am thinking… that I’m feeling hungry again, even though I just ate cereal for breakfast.
I am thankful for… the fact that I started a load of laundry, have the dishwasher going, and am making homemade wheat bread.
From the kitchen… the bread machine is humming. I’m making bread dough, then I’ll transfer it to the oven.
I am wearing… a homemade dress. It’s maroon with jersey-knit fabric, and very comfy.
I am creating… eight long-sleeved, very colorful, silky blouses to wear at work this winter.
I am going… to watch several movies today as I sew.
I am reading… “Breaking Dawn” on audio CD by Stephenie Meyer. I’ve already read the entire series in hardback. Now, I’m going through it again on audio. I’m also reading The Marriage Officer.
I am hoping… that my veggies will continue to prosper, giving me actual vegetables! I also hope to eat healthy foods and exercise today.
I am hearing… the dishwasher draining water and the bread machine humming away.
Around the house… Yes, I know that I need to clean. A good sweep and mopping would do this house some good.
One of my favorite things… sitting in my front yard, reading The Marriage Officer (or whatever book I’m working on), and yelling at the squirrels whenever they start digging in my garden.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Parent conferences are tomorrow, yoga is after school Tuesday, handbells are Wednesday, and track-and-field is Friday.
Here is picture thought I am sharing… I put together a bouquet of flowers in memory of my mother, who passed away, quite suddenly, of cancer last year.
