I made these burgers with patties that I’d previously frozen (raw). I had mixed up 5 pounds of ground beef with bread crumbs, eggs, and spices (Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Cookbook). After forming the patties, I froze them, six per bag, which was about 1 pound per bag.
To cook them, I usually take 3 out of the bag, defrost them in the microwave, and then cook them in a frying pan on the stove.
You can see that regular bread works fine (toasted). You don’t need to always use hamburger buns.
We served these burgers with carrots and we shared an apple.
