Last weekend, I planted an entire box (raised square foot bed – 4 ft x 4 ft) of potatoes. It was divided into 16 squares, so I put sweet potatoes in 4 squares and red potatoes in the rest. They’re already starting to peek through the soil in a few squares.
This weekend, I celebrated a landmark birthday, and my lovely family and friends helped me fill my second garden box (2.5 ft x 3 ft == 9 rectangles). It has oregano, basil, lemon verbena, rosemary, cucumber, 4 strawberry plants (in 2 rectangles), and zucchini (seeds in 2 rectangles).
