It surprised me how short my grocery list was this week, especially considering how much food I plan to prepare this week. Click here to see my menu.
Here’s a rundown of what I purchased:
- Sushi $5 – I wish I could have it for every meal! Yum!
Food Storage $15 –
- bread crumbs
- lemon juice
Everything Else $22 –
- frozen, breaded fish
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 steak
- 1 pork roast
- grated parmesan cheese
I saved $1.75 with coupons.
Total = $43
I now have my 2 weeks of water stored up (28 gallons). Yeah!
Beef Roast Recipe (from Reynold’s cookbook):
Shake 1/4 c flour in a large oven bag. Add 1 can stewed Italian tomatoes, 1 packet onion soup mix, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Combine in the bag. Add a 3 pound rump roast to the bag and get it coated in the sauce. Add 4 quartered potatoes and 4 carrots (2 in long). Cook at 325 for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until 160 degrees.
